Our Vision

A transformed Orlando where the Church is a living source of holiness, healing, and hope in every sphere of society.

Omar and Rebecca Johnson are the founders and lead pastors of Freedom House Orlando, a Spirit-led church bringing good news, freedom, healing, and hope to the city of Orlando.

Born and raised in the Bronx, Omar brings more than 30 years of ministry, community development, and leadership experience, with a heart for serving those often overlooked and forgotten. Rebecca is a music educator with nearly 30 years of experience investing in the next generation through creativity, leadership, and discipleship.

Together, they are passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, discover their God-given identity, and experience lasting transformation. They met on a blind date and have been married since 2012, and are the proud parents of William and Ella, and have given their lives to seeing Orlando encounter the love of Jesus.

Because this is our city, and these are our people.

The Area

We are planting Freedom House in Orlando, a diverse, rapidly growing area known for its vibrant culture, young families, and spiritual hunger. With new developments, schools, and community initiatives flourishing, the city is expanding fast, and so is the need for the Gospel.

The People

That growth is bringing a wide mix of young professionals, working-class families, immigrants, and multi-generational residents. Many are spiritually open but disconnected from church, seeking belonging, authenticity, and truth in the midst of life’s pressure and pain. And too many are searching with nowhere to turn.

The Need

The need is great. Though the area is growing, many feel spiritually isolated. Church attendance is declining, and generational faith gaps are widening. Depression, anxiety, and broken families are common. The Gospel is needed here, urgently and personally.
